Description

Felt flap discs are used for pre-polishing and high-gloss polishing on medium-sized to large components.

Due to their hardness and flexibility, felt flap discs are used when the exact form of geometric shapes has to be maintained. As a general rule, diamond polishing pastes and polishing paste bars are used for this.

Advantages
  • Conforms to contours due to high flexibility.
  • Can be freely shaped, meaning they can be used on complicated geometries.
  • Low thermal load on the workpiece.
Recommendations for use
  • Use the hard type for pre-polishing of even surfaces. If a very fine finish is desired, the hard and soft types can be used successively.
