Description

EDGE cut tungsten carbide burs have been specifically developed for precise work on edges. The special design allows the bur to run directly along edges without damaging the workpiece. Exact edges can be created in a single step - with either defined chamfers of 30° or 45°, or to a defined radius of 1/8". Rounding edges is a precautionary measure against corrosion according to: ISO 129443, ISO 85013, SOLAS XII/6.3 (Ref. T4/3.01 MSC.1/Circ.1198).

Concave radius bur for producing precise rounded edges. Cannot be re-sharpened. Designed for producing and finishing edges with an 1/8" outer radius."

Special features
  • Special design allows for precise handling.
  • Safe and comfortable use.
  • Exact edge shapes can be created in a single step.
  • The highly accurate concentricity enables precise work free from chatter marks. This considerably reduces wear on the bur and power tool or machine.
Recommendations for use
  • Use the burs counterrotationally for quick stock removal. For a fine surface finish, run the bur back over the edges in the same direction of rotation.
  • If possible, use burs with the EDGE cut with the PFERD TOOLS compressed-air straight grinder PG 3/210 with the matching guide sleeve EFH PG 3/210.
  • The smaller the bur diameter is in the area being used, the higher the recommended rotational speed can be.
