Description

The TOUGH cut has been specially designed for tough operating conditions such as in shipyards, foundries and steel construction. It is also ideal for all demanding production environments where frequent tooth breakages and other damage to conventional burs occur.

Oval bur.

Advantages
  • The highly accurate concentricity enables precise work free from chatter marks. This considerably reduces wear on the bur and power tool or machine.
  • Innovative quick-mounting system guarantees convenient handling and cool grinding
  • Minimized tooth chipping/breakage, splintering, and bur failures due to very robust, high-performance cut.
  • Can also be used at a lower rotational speed.
  • Due to their extreme impact resistance, they are an ideal option when an extended-shank bur is needed.
Recommendations for use
  • Observe the recommended rotational speed.
  • The TOUGH cut can be used on materials up to 580 HV (54 HRC). For hard materials, it is recommended to test the bur on the same material before using on the actual workpiece.
  • TOUGH cut carbide burs are also designed for high-impact applications when using shank extensions, for applications with a high surface contact angle, for work on narrow contours, and for applications where slower rotational speeds are used.
  • For the most cost-effective bur use, work with higher rotational/peripheral speeds. For burs with a 1/4" shank diameter, use power tools with a power output from 300 watts.
