Description

For light cleaning and deburring work on threaded holes or recesses, e.g. keyways.

In order to fulfill the requirements for brushing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD produces all stainless steel (INOX) brushes using 302 stainless steel wire. Practical experience gained from industrial use confirms that this wire quality achieves excellent corrosion resistance with optimum brush life. The wire found in stainless steel (INOX) brushes tends to become magnetic after cold working. All PFERD brush products with stainless steel wire (INOX) are color-coded blue in the Tool Manual. All of these brushes are recommended for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as 316. The reason for this is a change in the microstructure caused by deformation (e.g. during the wire drawing process). This does not have any impact on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX filament. The filament is still resistant to corrosion.

Stainless steel wire (INOX) is temperature-resistant up to 850 °F.

Advantages
  • Highly flexible, enabling optimal adaptation to the workpiece contour.
  • Longer service life due to the design of the stem.
  • In tube brushes with a short eyelet, the filament reaches up to the tip of the brush.
  • The bent end of the wire does not have any sharp edges, which prevents delicate surfaces from getting scratched.
  • Very corrosion-resistant.
Recommendations for use
  • Please observe the recommended rotational speeds.
  • Use with clockwise rotation.
Safety notes
  • For safe use, guide the brush into the workpiece before beginning work.
  • When clamping the brush, ensure that the shank is clamped as far into the arbor as possible. This especially applies to high rotational speed ranges. The minimum clamping length is 10 mm.
